Take a TechBreak on Father’s Day

What father’s day gift are you giving to your Dad?

We took a quick poll in our office and found that the majority of our staff is investing in “upgrading” their dads and getting them more plugged in into the 21st century, updating them with the newest gadgets: iPads, smart phones, kindles, etc.

For weeks before Father’s Day, we find ourselves reminding our ‘plugged in dads’ to take time on this day to reconnect with their kids — turn off email and cell phones and tune out work and other distractions and find time to reconnect with their children.

But who is talking to the kids – some of whom are themselves fathers? Kids – stop texting for two or three hours, surfing the internet, updating your Facebook, tweeting and retweeting and give your Dad the gift he is likely to cherish most – real conversation, face to face interaction, a shared activity and a shared memory. Unplug for Father’s Day.

To help you start the conversation, we’re offering “Unplug and Reconnect” Father’s Day cards. Click the e-card of your choice.
